Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil

"You can’t imagine how grateful I am"
María Ordoñez

Only 9 years old and suffering cerebral palsy, Guillermito wants to live like a normal child and strives to achieve it.

At the beginning of 2008, his mother, Marisol Ordóñez, requested the Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil a wheelchair to take him to the regular school he attends and also to the neurologic rehabilitation center where he receives therapy.

You can’t imagine how grateful I am with the Junta de Beneficencia…, this is the best gift it could have given my son. I know that some day I will see him running and playing like a normal boy. I am incredibly happy to know that this year, he will attend first grade…last year he was in kindergarten and was chosen an Honor Roll student for his good grades.

Guillermito attends a regular school, as his intellectual capability is intact and we know that he has a great possibility to be a normal fully able citizen of society if he continues  with his therapies (please see movie).

Additionally,  the Junta de Beneficencia gave him a walker that will help him take his first steps and allow him to move on his own.
