It describes cases of autologous stem cell administration into spinal cord injury patients via multiple routes.Mr. Óscar Orrantia, director of the JBG, said that this recognition is an important step for the work that – although in the beginning stages – is being done at the JBG hospitals in order to improve the quality of life of sick people. The Regenerative Medicinal program began in 2005, at the HLV. “So far, more than fifty Ecuadorian and foreign patients with spinal cord,cardiomyopathies and injuries have been operated on,” according to Dr.Bolívar Cárdenas, Chief of Neurosurgery.
