Dr. Galo García FeraudHe is the “Ad Honorem” Legal Advisor of the Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil.

Doctor García worked as university professor for more than 30 years. He was dean of the Law College of the Catholic University of Guayaquil and Vice-President of said institution, legal advisor of the Civil Registry (1967), associate judge of the Superior Court of Justice of Guayaquil and Justice of the Supreme Court. He participated as ambassador with a special mission and member of the Delegation of Ecuador during the meetings to discuss the impasses with Peru.

He had been chairman of the Meeting of the Ministers of Education of Latin America and the Caribbean (1981) and Ecuadorian delegate to the UNCITRAL Meeting held in New York in 2002.

He was appointed Minister of Education and Culture and later Secretary of State during the tenure of Presidents’ Jaime Roldós and Osvaldo Hurtado (1979-1983). He is currently a member of the board of Banco de Guayaquil. He has received several national and international decorations.
