He is a surrogate member of the executive committee of the Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil and the Stable Permanent Commission of the National Lotery since 2006.

He is the sub-inspector of the Luis Vernaza Hospital; President of Polimalia S.A.; Poligrup S.A.; Director of Atlas Insurance Company, Vice-President of APROFE, Life Member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation/WHR of New York and member of the Board of the Red Cross.

He was Honorary Cónsul of Canada; Founder and Member of the Board of Directors of the Ecuadorian-German Chamber of Commerce (1976-1982) and member of the board of the International Chamber of Commerce (1976-1980)
