Each year 2,710 children are rescued from poverty through education

Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil is a results-based organization. We pride ourselves on being a teaching institution that delivers what it promises. We are also committed to improving educational institutions, thereby achieving excellence.

Each year, approximately 2,710 children from underprivileged areas are beneficiaries of the educational establishments that Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil manages. These are as follows:

  • José Domingo de Santistevan Institute, with 1,312 students.
  • Santa Luisa de Marillac School and Miraculous Medal and Handicraft Shop, with 1,157 female students.
  • Calderón Ayluardo Home, boarding for 129 girls.
  • Manuel Galecio Asylum, boarding for 112 girls.

The Santa Luisa de Marillac School is broadening its scope this year and now offers high school education.

All these institutions form part of an ambitious Educational Program, which is working towards improving children’s health and youth development.

Junta de Beneficencia de Guayaquil grants full scholarships that include lodging, food, clothing, primary and secondary school education and a strict value-based upbringing. Local and international donors can sponsor scholarships through our web page.
